Tripzzy Plugin System Requirements #

Before installing Tripzzy, ensure your WordPress site meets these requirements:

Minimum Requirements:

  • WordPress 5.8 or higher (WordPress 6.0+ recommended)
  • PHP 7.4 or higher (PHP 8.0+ recommended)
  • MySQL 5.6 or higher (MySQL 8.0+ recommended)
  • HTTPS/SSL certificate (required for payment processing)

Installing the Tripzzy #

Method 1: Install Tripzzy from WordPress.org Repository (Recommended) #

Follow these steps to install the free Tripzzy plugin:

  1. Access WordPress Admin Dashboard
    • Log in to your WordPress website admin panel
  2. Navigate to Plugins Section
    • Click Plugins in the left sidebar
    • Select Add New
  3. Search for Tripzzy
    • Enter “Tripzzy” in the search bar
    • Look for the official Tripzzy plugin
  4. Install the Plugin
    • Click Install Now button
    • Wait for installation to complete (usually 10-20 seconds)
  5. Activate Tripzzy
    • Click Activate button

Method 2: Manual Upload Installation #

If you’ve downloaded Tripzzy ZIP file:

  1. Download the plugin ZIP from WordPress.org
  2. Go to Plugins > Add New
  3. Click Upload Plugin at the top
  4. Click Choose File and select the ZIP file
  5. Click Install Now
  6. After installation, click Activate Plugin

Once activated, you will be redirected to “Tripzzy Dashboard Page”.

Installing Tripzzy Pro (Premium Version) #

To install the Pro version:

  1. Purchase and Download
    • Purchase Tripzzy Pro from our official website
    • Download the Pro plugin ZIP file from your account page.
    • Save your license key form account page or email.
  2. Install Pro Plugin
    • Ensure free version is installed and activated first
    • Navigate to Plugins > Add New
    • Click Upload Plugin
    • Upload Tripzzy Pro ZIP file
    • Click Install Now and then Activate
  3. Activate License
    • Go to Tripzzy > License
    • Enter your license key
    • Click Activate License
    • Verify activation success message

Important Note: The free version of Tripzzy must be active before installing the Pro version.

Initial Setup: Configure Tripzzy for Your Travel Business #

Automatic Page Creation #

Upon activation, Tripzzy automatically creates four essential WordPress pages:

  1. Checkout Page – Where customers complete bookings
  2. Thank You Page – Booking confirmation page
  3. Search Results Page – Displays trip search results
  4. Dashboard Page – Customer account area

These pages contain the necessary shortcodes and are ready to use. You can customize them later or create new pages if needed.

Step 1: Configure Permalink Settings for SEO #

Pretty permalinks are essential for Tripzzy to work correctly and improve your website’s SEO:

  1. Navigate to Settings > Permalinks in WordPress
  2. Select Post name option (recommended for best SEO)
  3. Alternative: Choose Custom Structure with /%postname%/
  4. Click Save Changes
  5. Test by viewing a trip page

Why This Matters: Pretty permalinks create user-friendly URLs like yoursite.com/trips/everest-base-camp-trek/ instead of yoursite.com/?p=123

Step 2: Currency and Regional Settings #

Configure your currency settings:

  1. Go to Tripzzy > Settings > General
  2. Currency Settings:
    • Select your currency (USD, EUR, GBP, INR, AUD, etc.)
    • Configure thousand separator (comma, period, space)
    • Choose number of decimal places (0, 1, or 2)
    • Set decimal separator
    • Configure Amount Display Format with available variables( %CURRENCY_CODE% %CURRENCY_SYMBOL% %AMOUNT% %DISPLAY_AMOUNT% )

Example Configuration:

  • Currency: USD
  • Thousand separator: Comma (1,000)
  • Decimals: 2
  • Decimal separator: Period (100.50)
  • Amount Display Format: %CURRENCY_SYMBOL%%DISPLAY_AMOUNT%

Step 3: Verify Essential Pages #

Confirm that Tripzzy pages are properly assigned:

  1. Stay in Tripzzy > Settings > General
  2. Navigate to Pages tab
  3. Verify these pages are correctly set:
    • Checkout Page: Where booking forms appear
    • Thank You Page: Post-booking confirmation
    • Search Results Page: Trip search results
    • Dashboard Page: Customer account area

Can I Use Different Pages? Yes! You can create new pages and assign them, just ensure each page contains the appropriate shortcode.

Step 4: Configure Payment Gateway #

Set up at least one payment method to start accepting bookings.

Setting Up PayPal Standard #

  1. Navigate to Tripzzy > Settings > Payment
  2. Click On General Tab for configuration.
  3. Select/Add PayPal Payment from the Payment Gateways dropdown to enable.
  4. Click on PayPal Payment tab just below General tab.
  5. Add Description and Client ID: Enter your Client Id provided by PayPal.
  6. Mode Selection:
    • Sandbox Mode: For testing (use PayPal sandbox credentials)
    • Live Mode: For real transactions (use PayPal live credentials)
  7. Click Save Settings

To use Sandbox mode, Please enable/ Toggle on the Test Mode option from the Tripzzy > Settings > Payment > General Tab.

Testing PayPal:

  • Use Sandbox mode first
  • Create PayPal sandbox account at developer.paypal.com
  • Test complete booking flow
  • Switch to Live mode when ready

Setting Up Bank Transfer #

Perfect for businesses accepting direct bank payments:

  1. Navigate to Tripzzy > Settings > Payment
  2. Click On General Tab for configuration.
  3. Select/Add Bank Transfer from the Payment Gateways dropdown to enable.
  4. Click on Bank Transfer tab just below General tab.
  5. Enter Bank/Account Details:
   Account Name: [Account Holder Name]
   Account Number: [Account Number]
   Bank Name: [Your Bank Name]
   Short Code: [If applicable]
   IBAN: [If applicable]
   SWIFT/BIC Code: [International Code]
   
  1. Payment Instructions: Add detailed instructions:
   Please transfer the total booking amount to our bank account.
   After transfer, email payment proof to: [email protected]
   Include your booking ID in the email.
   Booking will be confirmed within 24 hours of payment verification.

Enabling Pay Later Option #

Allow customers to book now and pay later:

  1. Navigate to Tripzzy > Settings > Payment
  2. Click On General Tab for configuration.
  3. Simply select/add Book Now Pay Latter from the Payment Gateways dropdown to enable.
  4. Select Pay Later tab to add description for the payment.
  1. Save settings

Step 5: Email Notification Setup #

Configure automated email notifications:

  1. Navigate to Tripzzy > Settings > Email
  2. Email Config Tab:
    • Enable/disable enquiry notifications
    • Enable/disable customer notifications
    • Enable/disable admin notifications
  3. Customize Email Templates (Admin Templates tab):
  4. Customer Email Templates:
    • Pending booking email
    • Booking confirmation email
    • On-hold notification
    • Cancellation email
    • Refund confirmation
  5. Save all email settings

Pro Tip: Send test emails to verify everything works correctly before going live.
